I’m surprised that I heard about this from Utica TV and a blog before Hamilton did a regional alumni e-mail blast.. Jon Stewart, in the very gym where I failed my freshman fitness test. Imagine that!
As for me, I imagined it so clearly, I ran right to the Web site and booked alumni tickets for myself and an Albany friend. It costs money, but I won’t have to stand out in the cold for hours only to get sent to overflow seating like my dad and I did for Bill Clinton in 2004.
Speaking of my dad, he started posting in his blogs again and weighed in on the election, something I’m trying to keep my trap shut about a little more these days. It’s great.
I think I’m going to go watch tonight’s Daily Show while I embroider. My old habit of playing around on the Internet while I watch TV is causing too much stress, and I get enough news at work now anyway. I’m working on a complex piece from a vintage French pattern book, and it’s going well but very slowly. I spent almost three hours last night and just about finished one bicycle wheel.
God, doesn’t that guy get around? One of my Internet friends (Jennifer from the Sisterhood, Laurie, you knew her) saw him in Whole Foods in Milwaukee/St. Paul this week.
Embroidery rocks. I used to cross-stitch, back in the days before multiple rugrats.
I just have caged rats. No rugrats. I like doing it while I watch TV.
They were there the whole last week doing the show on the road for the convention. Pretty neat.
